In current state-of-the-art practices, words are exclusively interpreted by healthcare professionals based on their clinical judgments, without a statistical support for what value words used by patients should be assigned and how these words should be weighed in relation to other variables in the diagnostic procedure. WordDiagnostics solves this problem by applying AI algorithms, and thus provides a scientifically and empirically based support tool for the diagnostic procedure. This is of particular importance, for inexperienced clinicians, or clinicians without psychiatric specialization, such as healthcare professionals in primary care. At the same time, even very experienced and specialized clinicians may benefit from additional knowledge of how important specific words are for diagnosing. Hence, WordDiagnostics provides a unique solution with important advantages compared to current state-of-the-art. Our solution has a high potential to improve public health, making the approach nationally and internationally competitive. The decision support system helps clinicians and is made available in clinical settings by an API or a web-portal called WordDiagnostics.com. WordDiagnostics is currently used by clinicians working at psychiatric units in Region Skåne, Malmö.
